Hi,

I have been running my 318i daily on LPG for over 3 years now and have been very happy with it.

I'm currently in the process of converting to a M20B25 engine and want to run that on LPG too. Before I put the intake manifold back on I want to drill it for each of the 6 injectors.

Has anyone done this and can you recommend the ideal place/angle to drill for each nozzle? A diagram would be awesome.

Many thanks :)
Moredoor autos with small engines are cool - but my new m20b25 is awesome!

Never actually fitted injection LPG to a M20B25, only to M50B25 and M52B28 manifolds. I ran my M20B25 for over 100,000 miles on a mixer ring system.
The LPG injector nozzles should be as close to the valves as possible, but there's nothing critical about the positioning or the angle, so the short answer is wherever is convenient for the hoses to the injector bank (or banks). Take your cue from the 1.8 manifold you run now.
LPG in the manifold is a gas, and will remain a gas, mixing readily with the incoming air, unlike petrol, which only simulates a gas, and will separate out from the air and revert to a liquid if given the slightest chance.

Can't help with the 6, but a pic of where your nozzles are on the M40 would be useful. I'm content with mine, but still think they could be better for injector placement and pipe length.

From what ive read the preferred angle of the injector is as close to vertical as possible with the outlet to nozzle at the bottom, hoses to nozzles generally as short as possible.
The injectors on my V8 are mounted at around 45° but hasn't caused an issue in over 70,000 miles
