Bottom spigot broke off the housing for the hose that feeds inlet manifold. Just gone to take old housing off and replace. BUT undoing the two bolts and trying to pull it off the studs, the housing hits the fuel inlet rail and won't come off ?????
Any ideas on how to remove it, without removing the whole inlet manifold?

Remove one of the studs for the 'stat housing.

If you're replacing the housing, you can always break up the old one bit by bit using, say pliers/Mole grips, junior hacksaw, Dremel, etc., being careful not to leave debris in the cooling system.

Yes, no problem in doing this, but you'll have to remove the stud to get the new one on.Speedtouch wrote:If you're replacing the housing, you can always break up the old one bit by bit using, say pliers/Mole grips, junior hacksaw, Dremel, etc., being careful not to leave debris in the cooling system.

Thanks guys
Did think of the stud removal, but it seemed pretty stuck in. Bit scared I may snap it off.
Bit of eze nut and some heat?
Any way of easing the fuel rail up to clear the housing?

It's off. Thanks. Carefully drilled out the housing where temp sensor goes. Plugged it with rag to stop swarf getting in. Then managed to ease it past the fuel rail. Careful with the fuel pipe. Then got two nuts on the stud easier. Some eze nut on the stud in the head end and gently rocked it back & forth until it let go. Can now fit the new housing. Cleaned the stud and put a small slot in the end so I can screw it back in when the housing is on.
