Can someone tell me how to remove part #2 in the diagram? Unlike the door strips it doesn't just pry off as it's locked into the clips and as far as I can see it won't slide out as the D pillar is in the way, so how's it done??

No, there are 4 large clips that on one side hook underneath the fixed window and the other side has the trim pushed into it and once it's pushed into place it locks and as far as I can see can't be released.

Might be glued. On of mine has come off, I'll check later.

The clips might be stuck to the glass with double sided tape but there has to be a way of removing the trim and leaving the clips in place. I have a spare set of clips/trim that came off a breaker but they were only removed once the glass was smashed which probably isn't the recommended method!

Two clips on the black trim, 4 clips glued to the glass.

I've just pulled up on the trim gently and 3 clips still attached to the trim. The last clip stayed on the glass so I slide the trim to the rear of the car and it came off.

My photo bucket keeps crashing. I'll see if I can get them up.

Thanks for the pics. Strange that you have 3 metal clips and 1 locking plastic clip. The breaker I removed the trim from had 4 plastic clips and I'm guessing my car has the same as it's impossible to lift the trim off :?
