So, i've been meaning to give the car a proper once over but have been so busy with the 2 kids that it has just been a quick wash. Finally decided that time was ticking away so got Matt from DC Valeting to come down and give it a good clean and polish.... A nice chap fuelled by coffee who has been doing this for many years (customers include david hasselhoff, raymond blanc and others...) A full detail was not necessary as I keep the car in pretty good nick, so just an ultimate valet. Here are the results!

and i know you already spotted it but too kind to say, but the shadowline trim for the drivers side is now replaced
the boot badges came off as i wanted to get that part resprayed due to a spot of rust on the edge creeping round. i have them safe at home and have ordered some adhesive pads to stick them back on which should be here in the next few weeks. i have the correct placement sent to me by alpina, so they will be on right.
