I know of at least 3.
Two owned currently by zone members and another that was owned by a zone member.
No doubt there are more.

Breaks my heart to see it, but at least it's in good hands!

Sorry to break it to you but I have one!
Is yours a 2 or 4 door?

Arrrr!! Awesome car, that's Dans old chariot isn't it. I've seen this in the flesh several times and she is a beauty. I once had mine in at BBB at the same time as yours.
I was actually speaking to the owner previous to Dan on Instagram the other day, and he was asking me if I knew the where about's of the car because he wanted to buy it back. His a detailer up in Scotland.
How are you finding it? It was absolutely immaculate last time I saw it. Must be around 4/5 years ago now.

Yeah, that's the car. It's pretty much mint still. Only come out of the garage when it's decent weather! Got a mk2 Golf GTI as my daily drive.

I know in the total bmw article it stated that Dan put like 80 hours into the paint! Have you had it long then? I'm partial to a MK2 aswell. Driven a few friends cars but never got one myself, but I will at some point.

I've not had it a long time, but I bought it from a good friend and I believe he bought it from Dan. I love the car, although I'm still getting used to it been left hand drive and that gearbox.... I'm so paranoid about getting it wrong!

It does take a little while to get used to but its so worth it. I like it when you tell someone for the first time where first gear is...they always seem to look puzzled aha!

I just don't want to miss shift and trash the gearbox and engine! But I am getting used to it, slowly.
