I did some suspension work today and noticed something odd, took apart drivers side and everything was as usual. The passenger side however, the collar that hold the shock inside the leg was a female connection, driver side was male.

Any reason why this is? Has someone replaced the leg on the passenger side and the newer ones are different?

One of the struts is a 45mm (thread on outside) and one is 51mm (thread on inside) just from different models 325's, tourings and convertables get the larger 51mm strut. Both struts should be the same but no real problem with them both being different
