It was at the Dony BMW show last year.

I think the chaps name was Wayne ?

Does any one know which forums Wayne uses ?

this engine produces 320hp at 5200RPM and 345ft-lb of torque in standard guise.

It's supposed to be very easy to get these engines up to about 400 BHP + LBS of torque and they are light

Not cheap though

It finished just over two grand which isn't half bad for an engine thats lighter than an S52 with the same power but a lot more torque !

And not forgeting the easily achievable 400 bhp/lbs with a few mods !

Theres a bloke in the states thats built a low C/R(he might have stroked and/or bored it out aswell ?) LS1 as he is running about 20-22lbs of turbo boost and is supposed to be getting 1100-1200 bhp !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I need some dosh so i can do this swap !

I was reading something about it on the internet and it makes 320hp at 1500rpm and 420hp at max. ill try and find a link

i looked at the link, something aint right then. its got to be a mistake. car would be undrivable?? no power curve at all, thas all or nothing! 320lb of torque maybe at 1500 rpm but still unlikely.
its a very powerful engine but the power delivary will be more gradual

20v ur quattro produced it's peak torque at 1950rpm, which was 309nm, which is pretty good!

but turbo engines a very different with their power delivary, v8's are touquey engines but 320hp at 1500 then 4000 rpm later you only gain another 100 hp. something not right, car engines just aint like that

my 3.5 turbo torque was @1500rpm 145lb @ 2000rpm 185lb @ 2500rpm 220lb, @3000rpm 280lb, @3500rpm 315lb, @4000rpm 315lb, @4500 290lb, @5500 rpm 260lb

power @1500rpm 45hp @2000rpm 70hp @2500rpm 105hp @3000rpm 165hp @ 3500rpm 210hp @ 4000rpm 240hp @ 4500rpm 255hp @5000rpm 265hp @ 5500rpm 260 hp
