How come some e30's have indicators in the wings as some don't? Is it a European thing? I like the look without and will be replacing the wings but need to know what the ruling is on it

To pass a UK MOT test I think you will need a side repeater. This came from the ukMOT.com website
Vehicles first used on or after 1 April 1986 must be fitted with one side repeater indicator on each side. Instead of a separate lamp, the side repeater might be part of the front direction indicator if it includes a wraparound lens

If you want to be 100% legal, get rid of the ones in the wings and fit US spec rub strips with the indicators hooked up to the running lights

Wing mounted indicators are obviously legal
I was just saying if he didn't want the wing mounted indicators
Using the US running lights would ensure that there would still be an indicator visible from the side of the car
