Hi All,
I have been on and off this forum for years as I am slowly trying to put my e30 together. It is now getting to the point that my wife is concerned it will never happen and I might get forced to get rid of it (worst possible scenario).
I am appealing for anyone in the Lewisham/ Bromley area who might be able to come and give me a hand to get it in a position to be finished off this summer. Of course I am willing to contribute some monetary costs, however, I do want to do as much of it myself. Just need to guidance and reassurance on a few of the major bits.
Please do get in touch - would be a shame to see this car go to waste.
Cheers
Seenan

It might be an idea to post up some photos of the car and the areas that need welding, so that folk get an idea of what's involved...

Hey guys, took some photos. The main bit that needs welding is under the drivers seat area and it is 2 inches in diameter

I'm all for doing your own resto but given your comments- why not just pay a pro to do the welding. Likely they will do a better job. Just my 2 cents.

I totally agree -a profession to do the welding or even someone with experience is a much better option, however, the car isn't rolling at the moment and so I was hoping with the good weather there might be someone local who might be able to do it on the drive and give us some pointers on a few other bits to get the resto moving again. Its not really a huge amount of welding to be fair, just means holding up the carpet so it doesn't catch fire!
