Standard. Uprated ones won't have any benefits unless you want to set your car on fire... Ask E30Adam.

It caught on fire. Twice! Won't mention the brand name as I'm not 100% sure on it, but it wasn't a cheap knockoff. Others are probably better though...Kos wrote:they work on modded engine where extra fuel is required, what happened to adams car??
Like you said, they're only of benefit on a seriously modified engine anyway (as in more than Adam's 2.8 ), so standard's the way to go here (in my opinion)...

FSE is pointless as it does not tell the ECU how much fuel is being injected, it just injects extra anyway; this is what i have heard

on a standard engine yes, on my M3 it was needed with the extra injectors. it also heped out when using nitrous and going willy with the jetting,
it just ups the fuel presure a little, it will help if you have a high flow airfilter and running a cam.

Even then, unless you're unbelievably lucky and the added fuel exactly matches the requirements of your mods, it's a stab in the dark.so basically the moral is: unless your engine is of the hook dont bother?
Leave it standard, or if you really want bore wash, take the standard reg off and give it a squeeze in a vice. Will up the fuel pressure nicely and costs you nothing (except a re-bore, new rings and pistons etc.)

thanks for all the advice, i think i'll stick with buyin a standard one then, i've got some mods such as stage 1 head, stainless system, panel filter, but i don't think theres enough call for that regulator,
