it's for a electric-aerial.
red is live and white is switched live from radio.
usually lives above n/s wheel-arch,behind boot-trim.

Thanks for the help. I've got a standard aerial guessing it's been changed from the electric at some point.

yeah that's probably whats happened at some point. Can't blame folk really-£50 for a proper Hirschmann 'lecky one as against a few quid for a cheapo manual one.
