due to problems with the oil-pressure light staying on when starting from cold,i want to rotate the oil-filter and housing from its current horizontal position up under the exhaust manifold round 90 deg.so it hangs vertically.
the oil-cooler pipes are the only thing tripping me up-one is slightly too short to allow this.
swapping the cooler-lines over on the filter-housing is the easiest fix for this.is this ok. to do?
you people who spin your filter 180 deg. to clear a 6-branch manifold i guess you folks just swap the lines over and no probs?
a quick read up on oil-coolers last nite showed that the ideal way to connect a cooler is so oil enters at the bottom of it,and exits at the top-something to do with minimising air-bubbles,this is how its connected currently.
would reversing the flow thru cooler cause any probs.?i realise the cooler is hardly ever used during normal driving.
