Hi Guys
I was driving the old moredoor last night, and basically I am not sure if I picked something up on the way, but I got a metal on metal grinding sound only when in motion. I checked at first but couldnt find anything then as I was driving home where I can get more light the noise all of a sudden stopped as I turned in the my road. I walked up to the point where the noise stopped but couldnt see anything. Is there something I should look in more detail in the daylight?

Checked your brake pads lately? Front brake dust shield can get bent towards the disc, or a piece of rust/stone get trapped between the plate and disc.
I was once driving an E30 a couple of thousand miles from home, when a high pitched, almost pure musical note started coming from the front right of the car. It was loud enough for me to stop by the roadside, remove the wheel and investigate. I found nothing, and the noise restarted again when I drove off, but a few miles later, it stopped as suddenly as it had started, never to return.

i had a similar problem on my car, checked everything, turned out a bearing was on it's way out & the noise was it singing it's death song.
if it's got t*ts or wheels it's bound to be trouble...............prove me wrong.
