24 valve conversion e34 engine & box

Hi

can someone please advise i have read the link for the M50 M52 engine swaps i noticed it says you can use the engine from the E38's can the E34 525i engine & box from a Nreg touring be used.

E34 525i touring or saloon engine and box will fit, and are worth buying at the right price just for the sump, oil pick up and inlet manifold alone, even if you subsequently fit a M52B28. These three items alone are worth a few hundred pounds these days.

Be aware that early E34 525is were fitted with the old M20B25 engine, the same as fitted to E30s.

An N-reg (1994-96) E34 525i should have the M50/52 engine.
