How much would a 2.7 based on a B25 block and head go for ?
There is NO nucleus.

If no one wants one, not a lot. If two or more people want it badly, then plenty.Martinaston wrote:How much would a 2.7 based on a B25 block and head go for ?
Same with all modified stuff.

I think he's just on about the engine... not the whole car.

An old 525e short engine - Ԛ£150. Same but freshened up - new rings, crank shells, bores honed, rod bolts etc - about Ԛ£500+. More if it's using 325i pistons (not essential anyway)
Then just swap it for your 2.5 and the job's done.

Thanks for the replies
I was hoping it would be a bit higher than Ԛ£500, i've got all the bits to build one but the block would need to be shaved so hopefully it won't break the bank.
I'll find out and if it's a reasonable price you might see it in the for sale section.
P.S. Where could i get the timing sprocket from ?

The first place I went I knew would have one...scoured the net and everywhere for bloody ages, cheapest I found one was Ԛ£100 but the company arsed me around.
Ended up going to the first company, Halfords which was about Ԛ£120.
Was a Kent one.

Cheers
That looks like its over Ԛ£400 just to sort the camshaft out, new rings and bearings is around another Ԛ£160
Looks like i'll be asking a bit more than Ԛ£500
