hi guys,
im lead to believe that there is a loom mod required when transplanting a later M20 into a Early M10 car can someone give me some guidance please .

If you have matching round 20 pin C101 plug/sockets, then check pin 20 on the body loom and see if a brown wire connected to it. If there is, cut it off and make sure the end can't touch anything. This is important to check, to avoid the possibility of lots of smoke the first time you try to start the car.
If your body loom has the old rectangular 'C101', then it's probably best to remove it and replace with the later round one. Splices can be made inside the fusebox.
There is a also an intermediate arrangement that existed for a while, where the body had the round 20 pin C101, but all the wires didn't go through it. There was an additional three pin plug and socket, found above the engine ECU, that carried the tacho. and fuel rate signals between the ECU and instrument cluster.
