Don't know the car. It has obvious issues, but worth taking a closer look. Pics usually fail to show up detail.

Let us know what you think.

If you don't mind a restoration job (pretty normal these days I suppose) then I don't see much wrong, but don't know the car so who knows. Let us know what you do.

At least the seller appears to be honest about the condition of the car and isnt afraid of pointing out the negatives which is a good thing.

This appears to be true, but it's also clear that the seller is no mechanic, and is unlikely to be aware of the full extent of the rust.
The value of a car in less than perfect order, assuming it's not going to be broken, is the value of that car in good order, less what it costs to put it in good order. The latter can vary massively for the same work, depending on what parts you have available, what facilities you have, and how much you value your time at

Negotiate on the price and I think that could be worth a punt.

He has been honest. If I had spare garage space, I'd have that and park it up dry for 5 years - you'd easily double your money doing nothing to it. Just look at what people pay for an E-type that's been in a barn for 20 years being used as a chicken coop.
