Single pipe fuel pump return line?

I bought my E30 as a rolling 318i auto shell and was missing the fuel pump, bought one which only has feed pipe on top of it and now learned there are 2 types.
My tank has a dent on the bottom but appears solid still, am I best just replacing the pump housing or is there another way of routing the return line back in the tank?

That's the type he has (for the 63 litre tank, which has a fuel return port on the side as part of the fuel transfer system).
He needs one that has the return pipe on the pump cradle for the 55 litre tank he has.
It wouldn't be too technically challenging to drill the top of the tank cradle and add a return pipe that drops fuel into the anti surge cup at the bottom of the tank, or even add the external bit to the blanked off pipe that's already there, but there must be plenty of two pipe cradles around (it's not like anything is likely to go wrong with them, unlike the pump that they carry), so an ad. in parts wanted would be the way to go.

Going to go up and take pump and carrier out and look at adding return pipe to it, thanks for that Brian.
Eventually want fuel cell in the boot so as long as it works for now to finally get it up and running il be happy.

The only part about adding a pipe I didnt like was the plastic insulator around the electrical connection, with welding or brazing it would definitely melt and probably leak afterwards
