Hello,

I need some advice about end ring gap.

What will happen if top ring compression is too tight.

In my case my engine has 0.1mm end ring gap that I measure from the bottom cylinder wall.

Does it will contact and bend and scuff?

If yes, I will reboring my engine to 0.2mm

Thank you
Markus

Instead of boring the block, would it not be easier to file the piston rings to the required gap?

yes, nobody ever over bores to suit ring end gap because then what about the piston to bore clearance....
