Hi guys,
In a month or two I will start assambeling body kit on my E30, it should have been wider then the original but as of now it looks like it is going to be original dimension. Anyway it is M3 fiberglass body kit.
I wonder what is the best way to bond fiberglass quarter panels to metal? I know 3M Bonding adhesive 08116 will work fine but I am worried about different rate of shrinking and expanding of two different materials that will lead to crack on the joint, it could be a year or 15 years who knows, depending on prep work and temperature differances.Anybodydid this on their car, what have you used and how did you do it? Any suggestion?
And one more thing, if anybody have original metar quarter panels I will consider buying those since I won't get wide fenders or quarter panels..
