Round 2 for a 318i Lux for me. Last owned one 5 years ago and sold it for a reliable family wagon for child and child related accessories carrying.

Fast forward to now and after checking prices made the decision to get back on the E30 bus now rather than watching prices climb for another year and kicking myself later.

Anyway, my last one started like this

And finished looking a bit better

So, E30 no.5...1991 318i Lux, 3 owners, 127k only 2k each in the last 2 years so it's service has been wound down a bit. Plans are to tidy up the tatty body - arches and wings mainly, scuttle and sunroof areas seem ok, bit of work to the sills and rear valance needed to, but to be expected for a 25 year old car. Mechanically been looked after so the oily bits are fine. No real plans for the engine as yet, just a lazy Sunday plodder, running gear will be changed , lowered and some SE skirts fitted once the body is fettled.

So if anyone's got any recommendations for bodywork in the North east, I'm happy to hear them

Some better pics just now, mainly of the not so good bits, the whole car looks like it's been washed with a Brillo pad at some point but nothing that can't be undone.

Wheels are 14" which have good tyres so will suffice until some decent 15/16's arrive.

Going to keep or replace the detail lines as things go as they add a difference to it

Looks like it's in good hands now!

Looking forward to seeing this one when it's been brought back to its former glory! 8)

Bumping this to help with the wanted add and to acknowledge that nearly 4 years later it’s still in the same condition but committed to getting it sorted this year!! :D
