How the **** are the external B/C/D pillar trims removed?? Also the external horizontal strip on the rear quarter (touring)? I thought it would just be a case of prising it up like the strips on the front and rear doors but it just won't come.

Have you removed all the interior trim? In the 2 door the b trim is bolted on accessible from the inside. From memory the rear quarter windows are fixed in place, not for removal, as for the trim around the rear quarter I guess it's held in place with same strong adhesive!! Just my 2pence.

The rear quarter trim is held in place with clips. I managed to raise the trim quite a bit but after a certain point it wouldn't come any higher and I didn't want to force it too much. The B trim covers are part of the doors so I don't think removing the interior trim will reveal anything.

Are you using a proper trim removal tool, rather than a screwdriver? This usually makes trim removal easier, with less risk of damage.

If most of the modern cars I have to work on are anything to go by, the trim clips usually require quite a bit of levering before they'll come loose, and you should be prepared for some getting broken; replacements are usually available from the dealers for a relatively small sum.

I can more or less see what's required to remove the horizontal strip as I've got it to the point where the clips are visible but the vertical B/C/D trims are still a mystery.

Don't know if this helps? From the Zone Wiki:
