Hi all hopefully will be putting my e30 away in the garage soon for the winter....just need to get it cleared out first!!!!
My only concern is that our tumble dryer lives in the garage and will probably get a fair amount of use over the winter....
Do we think it is bad for the car to be in there or do we think I'm worrying over nothing?
It's not a condenser it's vented through the wall...
Any thoughts would be appreciated

not if all the damp from dryer ends up outside.

i think garages work best if air can circulate in and out- poss. through an open window or a gap in the door perhaps.

someone on here also said it was a good thing to carpet a concrete floor to reduce dampness in a garage-makes some sense to me-do people agree?

apparantly a car-port is the ideal for a car.

As above, dryer is fine in the garage provided it's not venting moisture into to garage. If the door is left open during drying, I'm sure that will help.

A members E30 on here got burnt up bad when his tumble dryer caught fire, IIRC burnt the garage down and wrecked the car.

Thanks for the comments guys now I'm worried the bloody tumble dryer will catch fire!!!!!!!
I know garages are for cars not laundry however my wife disagrees she thinks it's just somewhere to dump all the shit she doesn't want in the house !!!!!!!
Might just leave it outside until I get the carport sorted...

Buy a 6x4 shed and put the dryer in there, or you could make her pay the electric bill which would usually result in her air drying more washing :)
