As above, will m20 manual box fit m40? Reason for this is eventually I will drop in an m20 and don't want to have to buy another box. Any suggestions on prop and diff? Thanks in advance. Alex

It will bolt up but sit at the wrong angle so you would need a modded gear linkage and custom mount.

ok thanks for the quick reply. How about the other way around, ie m40 man box (getrag 240???) to the 325i? I presume looking at the wiki pages that the box will fit, but what about diff and prop? Thanks again, Alex

just do it properly, spend some £££'s and use the correct parts for each engine and save yaself a headache .
