Hey guys, just noticed when I put my 30 on the ramps that it has an LSD, a most excellent surprise! Being as its a bit of a bastard creation, is there any way I can tell what kind of ratio diff it is?? Still don't even know if the engine is a 2.5 or a 2.7 as I've been told!

There's usually a tag on the diff telling you the ratio, but does sometimes get lost.

Failing that you can mark the input shaft and an output shaft. Turn the input shaft round 1 rotation and then gauge how much the output shaft has turned.

Count the number of turns of the input shaft to one revolution of the output shaft
Chassis twist!

Very difficult to accurately do that so best way is to take the cover offf and count the teeth!

gonna have to take the cover off anyway as the loop where the mounting bush fits is snapped off :( luckily my fabricator mate can weld alloy and repair it for me.
As for identifying the engine, can anyone help with that, or is it a case of only being able to tell from the internals if its a 2.5 or 2.7?
Thanks chaps

on the bottom engine block edge (lh) You got engine code and numbers. 25 for 2.5 , 27 for 2.7
