Door actuator?

Morning you lucky people.
Central locking woes ( that old chestnut )
When it locks , three doors lock and then pop up again.
Before I pull door to bits just thought I'd ask on here if anyone has had the same.
I've cleaned connector in the door and tried a different relay.

Unlocking again, immediately after locking, indicates that the ECU doesn't think the driver's door is shut.
Check out the driver's door linkage, etc., for lack of lubrication and wear, and the alignment of the locking motor in its slotted mounting holes.

When you say motor do you mean the mechanism on the end of the door?

Locking motor, on all but the last E30s, is mounted on the inner door panel, about half way down, just behind the rear edge of the door card.

Update.
Lubricanted door lock.
Central locking now works on key;
But when I use the alarm fob (toad alarm) it locks all doors bar drivers door then pops up again on other doors.
Could live with it like that I suppose

That suggests that the driver's door lock motor isn't being powered.
What happens if you lock with the key, then unlock with the fob?

Mmm, central locking stopped working all together again. Multi meter out tomorrow evening

Looks like the ole red/black wire split has sorted it.

That takes about five seconds to deal with!
Do you know what circuits it immobilises? Chances are it breaks the ignition feed to the engine and the starter motor circuit.
Connect a wire from the battery + terminal (or the 'phantom' terminal on the bulkhead, if you have a battery at the rear) to the ignition coil + terminal, and turn the key. If the engine doesn't crank, take the cover off of the diagnostic socket and use a second piece of wire to link pins 11 and 14 to fire the starter motor.
Pin 14 is battery +, so you can use that to link to the ignition coil + if you like.

I can get it to run by using both wires, but when I turn it off I can't restart with the key

That confirms that the two circuits immobilised are as I suggested.
I take it you want to remove the immobiliser?
Trace the wiring from it, and you will find two wires connect to two green wires of the E30 loom, and two more that connect to two black/yellow wires (possibly two plain black wires if the original installer didn't have a clue). Connect the two green wire s back together, and the two black/yellow wires back together. Hopefully the cut ends will still reach each other, but if not, you'll have to splice in a short piece to bridge the gap.

The alarm was only fitted in march by previous owner, so I'd prefer to just get it working again.
The toad fob locks and arms it ok but doesn't disarm it

Might be worth going through paperwork and see if it has some warranty.... Sounds like the alarm is faulty.
If it was fitted by a reputable company they should be ok with having a look? Unless it's fitted by a cable tie specialist in which case you might struggle

Immobilisers are the work of the Devil, get rid of the bloody thing!
Only yesterday I found yet another bodged bit of wiring caused by immobiliser fitting.

Thought i was onto something tonight- tried a different fob and it started!
Ran it for a bit then turned it off, armed it, and now it doesn't want to know with any of the fobs.
I'll ring the place up while i'm sat in it later this week.
