Hi guys I really need some help I've tried on the Facebook page but these days nobody really want to help anyone on there not hpw I remember this forum with a wealth of knowledgeable people who gave sound advice .
Please help
So last night I took the m52 e30 out and suddenly I lost fuel gauge temp gauge rev counter and heater motor..
The weird thing is. If I start the engine for a second they work then die.
Ontop of this. I then noticed wiyh ignition off. The battery light was illuminated on the dash
I read somewhere that the reverse light wire can chaf on the prop and short out?
I did check the fuses and all seemed well.
But yesterday before I took the car out I was underneath it and noticed the reverse light wire was hanging down.
What I remember was driving along. I removed the gearstick gaitor in an attempt to pull the slack through. .
It was stuck so I abandoned that
Next time I looked at my instruments they were gone. I dint k ow if this is just coincidence or not though
Please can someone help me? I need to get the car ready for forge action day at Castle coombe and I don't wanna take it like this
Tha ks in advance

So turns out the reverse light wire had chafed on the prop shorting fuse 10.
The blow in the fuse was so hard to spot last night in fading light
But removed the reverse light wires and new fuse in number 10 and everything working again
