For the sake of it being cheap has anyone noted any noticeable improvement of running a 325 throttle body and injectors on a pissy B20? I know its done now and then but no one mentions any benefit.

Engine is only temporary but for the sake of cheapness and added go for the few months its still a 6 cyl...

The work you have to put in opening up the 2.0 inlet is not worth the slight benefit of fitting the 2.5 TB.

I did see there is a bit of grinding involved to actually get the sizes close.

I did this a few years back and it does make a difference, how much is impossible to say but it did feel less restricted. I got a spare 320 manifold and opened it up before fitting. To be honest it was a lot of work grinding and then swapping intakes. If you could find a safe way of opening up the manifold on the car then it may be worth it

I was kind of throwing it by the wayside but intrigued again you have said it was a noticeable difference. Once im back home at the weekend Il maybe have a look ( remove the throttle body ) and see exactly how much grinding is needed.

Any point in doing the injectors also or does that just molest more fuel for no benefit?

i wouldn't swap the injectors just open up the inlet to suit. The 2.0 injectors are mapped for that engine, the 2.5 ones will fuel incorrectly at a guess. The stock B20 has a safe margin of overfuelling that i doubt the extra air coming in from the 2.5 TB will lean it right out

Everett did it years ago and always said it helped wake them up. A lighter flywheel would work wonders more i expect
