E39 door handle

Anyone know how to remove the outer rear door handle ?

Remove the black oval access cover in the rear door edge. Through that you'll see a gold tab (thats the end of the slider securing the handle in place) with a small hole in end. You need to tap that slider forward to release the outer handle. Refixing the new one is easier with the door panel removed as you can tap the gold slider back to secure.
