On the rare occasions that I turn the airco' on the revs rise, this is obviously normal but mine idles at about 12-1300 rpm. This seems way too high, is there any way of bringing it down or is this about normal? I'm guessing no on both counts.

Stopping the revs. rising at all is a simple matter. Simply unplug a (four pin?) connector with a black/purple wire coming off the engine loom a couple of inches from the ECU plug.
Not sure what the idle revs. should be with the aircon on, but it's set in the ECU software.

And this won't affect the aircon performance?

Won't significantly affect the performance, other than the engine might stall if the aircon compressor clutch cuts in when the engine is idling. The ICV can't react quickly enough to compensate for the sudden increased load.

Cheers Brian, I'll give it a go and see what happens.
