325i touring ruff idle

Need technical Q/A then you're in the right place

Hi all I've just done a major service on my 92 325i touring
Cam belt, all filters, injectors cleaned, new plugs new coolant hoses finally finished it last night and on start up has a really ruff idle, I've cleaned the throttle body any ideas? Was thinking cleaning icv? Any ideas guys would be much help

Check for air leaks on the inlet side.

Cheers Ben I hope it's not that I've just changed all the inlet manifold gaskets

Check the whole inlet tract from the MAF inwards including the brake servo, ICV, rubber bung under the throttle body etc.

You may need to leave it running on idle for at least 10 minutes to enable base idle settings to be learnt (particularly if you disconnected the battery).

Then switch off, restart and take it for a drive throughout the rev range.

All seems to be sorted now was a air leak in the end
