Hey guys, I'm new to this forum I have a 1990 325i that I have converted into a 335is using a m30 from a 1987 535i. The problem i'm having is that my clutch when depressed goes to the floor board and wont return to it's original position. I have already replaced the slave cylinder with a new part but the problem seems to be that I'm not getting any brake fluid down to the slave cylinder. I have bled the brake lines but when i tried to bleed the slave ther is no fluid coming into it! Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Vance

That sounds like a master cylinder fault, rather than the slave. Dud slave cylinder leaks fluid into the bellhousing, and out through the slot in the bottom, but dud master doesn't neccessarily leak fluid.
Clutch (on RH drive cars at least) can be a PITA to bleed from empty. Best done with a pressure bleeder.

Had this same problem on a range rover off-roader where i used to work (some of the lads ran it as a toy) and it was the seals in the master cylinder that had split.

Thanks guys for the suggstions. I had no idea where to go next with this. I will definately look into the master cylinder for the problem. I let you know if this was the culprit.
Thanks again, Vance
