Hi
Replacing track rod ends on a e36 steering rack on my e30 and the part in witch they screw into needs replacing to but can't find the part.its 18mm screw thread that goes into the steering rack. It has bmw logo stamped on it but they can't find it to.i was told its ae36 rack and they normally have 14 mm. Hope that makes sence any info would be great many thanks

You can use E30 or E36 track rods and rod ends, as long as you use both from the same vehicle.
For either, they're clearly and logically listed in the ETK under 'steering\steering linkage, tie rods'.

Yes have done that but it's 14 mm and need 18 mm to fit into steering rack. Trying to find out what steering rack it is. Bmw saying they don't do 18 mm. Contacted the chap I bought the car off he thinks it was a z3 rack

I just looked online and I think i see your dilema

Outer tie rods m14 inner tie rod m18

look in this link you can clearly see the inner tie rods have a bigger thread which im guessing is M18

I would get Febi or lemforder though not some cheap shit as safety first.
