What is this plug on the under dash panel for? Is it to do with climate control?

I don't think so, it looks pretty original as does the wiring. My money's on something to do with the climate control but confirmation would be nice.

i'm sure my early prefacelift SE had this and it had something to do with automatic head light adjusters, possibly.

I don't think so as it has a plug and wires and the headlight adjustment is purely hydraulic.

I think, it's temperature sensor for car with automatic temperature regulation..
