lsd upgrade

Hello,

Need some info on lsd.
If I have open medium diff, can I buy lsd parts and install to diff and it become lds diff?

What parts should I buy and any price info?

yea you can get a lsd and ou will have to swap over the crown wheel as the pinion and crown wheel are a matched pair because of ratios but i would get a specialist involved as they are a pain to set up and you dont want to get it wrong as it could go badly lol you have to set up the pinion depth then the side movment so you get it mating properly on the crown wheel.

When I get the diff I got the crown and pinion in one unit so if I want to add ls I should disassembly it?

yea all you do mate is swap the open for the lsd and what ever diff its going in make sure the crown is on the lsd to what ever diff you use.it would just be easier to get a professional to do it mate.
