Does a leak down tester make a compression tester redundant?
Or, does a leak down do everything a compression tester will do and more?
I dont own either and am wondering if i need (the man definition of need) or not?

A cylinder compression tester will tell you the compression on the engine, is a cylinder was down a compression tester can't diagnose any further.
A cylinder leak off tester will fill the cylinder with air, and diagbose where there is a fault in an engine. For instance, if you filled the cylinder with air and you know the valves are closed and you had air coming out of the air box, you would know you've got a fault with your inlet valves.
I personally have both, but I do work in a garage. But it's rare I use either.
