There are special cases in this context and being both French and shite means that for the greater good, even the manufacturers want them off the road !

Hahaha, i wouldnt be surprised if thats the case.
It really is a pile of shite!!
Any bolt i touch turns to dust. Ive lost count of the amount i have drilled out due to them snapping of.
I really dont know why i carry on!
The one thing it does do is make me appreciate the E30 even more than i already do. The BM is a joy to work on and drive compared to the french heap!

And they are not staggered. To be fair, it looks like for £2800 you get the wheels and the steering wheel.

Someone may pay it. If they do is the price still mad? No. maybe the buyer is mad but someones still paid the money.

Around 12 years ago I was selling m-tech 2 kits for around £600, mainly to Irish folk who had money at the time. The prices of this stuff hasn't changed drastically considering all that time and inflation.

Although the guy selling the Alpina rimz clearly thinks an e30 is comparable to a Ferrari 512.

There's a lot of new blood on the block who view the e30 as an expensive car. More and more we see folks shelling out 4-5 bags for lowly 4 pots, usually lured in by £189 lowz and Chinese wheels. This, combined with seemingly older owners/dealers who have 'cottoned on' to rising values and hope to snare the less savvy into 'investing in a rare classic car' in order to make a buck. Well, that or they are genuinely delusional!

Many of us here were 'lucky' enough to bag our e30's for a few hundred quid several years ago, but as much as we adamantly consider them as old turds who's low budget fun factor appealed to us at the time, the car's cult status is going from strength to strength.

Parts wise, for more mediocre mechanical spares etc, I'd like to think that most of us on here have the nounce and the sources to keep these nails running without breaking the bank! New genuine service parts etc are affordable and readily available as mentioned above. It's when we start dressing them up when it gets costly. Period in-house tuning and styling morsels for example are hugely desirable to sad acts like me! If people are paying it, it's understandable that sellers aren't going to shortchange themselves.

We all know how easy it is to get financially deep in e30's, so god help those who have parted with 5 large just to get their name on a 316i v5. Us sub-1kers have got away lightly!

well i got £225 for a fully working obc 13 button and £150 for a 6 button one .

these were items sold on ebay that were bid on not listed at those prices .

now then why would i shoot myself in the foot and advertise them on here for like £120 and £50 for someone to snap them up and double their outlay ?

Well Just found this on the bay , considering the previous set of 16's are no longer for sale but the £ 800 Alpina steering wheel is still listed I'm guessing the wheels sold for 2k or close to that ?

Does that mean that this staggered set in ”aexcellent, used but glorious”a condition in need of a refurb are worth £3300 delivered from Chester ? :x :x :x

Sometimes the morsels make for sound investment as they are so easily removed and sold on.

If you have £2k spare in the bank earning 0.5% interest, why not blow it on the wheels, enjoy them for 5 years or so, and know that at any point you can re-sell for what you outlayed at the very least, if you need to free up cash.
