My car has developed an annoying problem where it seemingly randomly locks itself when running.
Last time this happened i had left the car to warm up and it locked itself whilst it was running and with the key obviously in the ignition. Luckily i had a spare key with me!
A few bits of info:
My central locking works with the only problem being i cant turn the passenger door lock.
I have carried out the Red/Black wire mod a few years ago.
Any advice or previous experiences welcome.
Central Locking Gremlins (now found it is linked to bonnet)

This isn't a 'known' fault with E30 central locking, so I suggest you check very carefully for the presence of an aftermarket immobiliser/alarm/remote locking unit. Some of these are designed to lock the doors automatically shortly after starting the engine.
If none is present, then turn your attention to the problem with the passenger door, in case the mechanism is seized just on the point of operating the switch to give a lock request' signal.

Ive never had a problem before.
I do have an old immobiliser or alarm but i think it has been disabled and it has never caused any trouble before.
I will take a look into the passenger door as this isnt a known problem.

I have been able to link the above problem to my bonnet.
If my car is unlocked and the bonnet is open, when i close the bonnet my car fully locks itself.
I havent looked into the passenger side door yet.
Does anybody know if there are any electronics linked to the bonnet latch?
If not, could the motion of me closing the bonnet be moving any wires associated with the cental locking?

Mine had a Clifford which I removed as there was no key for it or valet code, there is a microswitch under the runner on the NS where the guide wheel on the bonnet drops into the guide.

check the door harness where it connects in to chassis as the water drain in it is crap as the main power feed for the system is it the bottom so it gets rotten away mine was gone lol
