Hi was driving the car this weekend and was the usual traffic, and every time i pulled off the car would kind of stutter or like a a rumble from the back just after pulling off. Almost as though something was loose in the rear wheel. I checked the tyre pressure and it seemed fine. I would say it felt like it was the driver side rear, once in full flow it would disappear.

Check the wheel nuts are tight, and the propshaft guibo (flexible joint) is in good condition.

See this Zone article on it:
http://www.e30zone.net/e30zonewiki/inde ... rain#Guibo
The guibo is the rubber joint at the front of the propshaft, where it goes into the gearbox - see photo at the top of the link above.
You may be able to see it by lying down and shining a torch at it, but it will help to jack it up, at least on one side - be sure to use axle stands and wheel chock if getting underneath though.
Also check the rear wheel bearings, by jacking up on one side (assuming you have no LSD fitted - if you do, you will need to raise both rear wheels) and spinning each wheel; listen for any excessive rumbling noise or play at the wheel rim when you shake the wheel in and out.
They can be quite tricky to replace:
