Not actually an E30 query, but I am asking here as there are some very knowledgeable folk on this forum!
My 2015 BMW has Bluetooth connectivity and often it immediately connects to my phone when I enter the car, but sometimes it does not and going to the Bluetooth menu it simply says it cannot connect. The only way to persuade it is to power off the phone and turn it on again, then it connects up.
There was a period when nothing would persuade it to connect up, then I discovered that my aftermarket sat-nav, which is also Bluetooth enabled, was connecting in preference to the car, so I had to turn off the Bluetooth on the sat-nav to get the car to connect.
Is there anything to be done to get the car to connect more reliably?
