looks like its been either retrimmed in white and left the rest factory grey or its been dyed. there was no such thing as BMW individual back then although if you had enough money and knew the right people...........cars did come out in funky specs

That just looks like a re-trim to me, the grey seat backs being particularly grim

TBH If I was the OP, think i'd be a bit p1ssed by the Zones reactions here. Chap has a nice interior, rare and with proof and he's been shot down with retrims and wrong colours etc etc

That's because a lot of our members have no idea what you were buying into, back in the day, when you bought an E30, before BMW became the shadow of the company that once was, that we have today.
E30s were intended to be individual cars, finished to individual specs., if that's what the original purchaser wanted, with a massive range of optional extras that could just about double the price of the car, and if what they wanted wasn't in the options list, BMW would oblige in exchange for enough money.

Light silver grey was a leather colour available on E36's and later later E34's which had the darker silver grey plastics coupled with the light silver grey leather.
The E30 in question happens to be a late one which was made as the same time as the above was available so what's not to say it was a special order in that combo? The vin spec certainly seems to back that up.
Although it's something all of us have not seen does not mean it's not possible.

Quick one, i also put the original question on couple other forums,
The BMW car club came back with answer re. Individual options on E30,s apparently Baurs were often ordered with individual specs they posted some vins.
From what Barry said re. the E36 having the colour combo it obviously solves the mystery, the chap liked that combo and ordered it for his Touring.
So i think there is no other E30 Touring with this interior....wow, let alone with 37000 miles!!

Shame he did not spend his money on an engine instead of trying to make his interior look like a Hush Puppy showroom

Terry, obscure trim options on 4 pot shooting brakes was not one of my strong points at school. What I do know is that the trim looks shite. BUT you only need one person that disagrees and gets his money out
