Tried getting classic car policy on a bmw e30 1990, was declined saying this vehicle wont qualify on a classic car poilcy. What the hell. They didnt ask the reg they just asked the year.
I rang up few weeks ago asking about an E36, the said "seems like your just ringing to get a classic policy" SO!!!!

Been with them for years, never had an issue with insuring an e30. Now I have two classic cars on the policy, agreed value, no questions asked.

I rang to see if an N reg e36 qualifys they seem to think im wasting their time, never mind the fact iv had two classic policies with them in the past, both for E30's. Who cares if im asking for quotes, you're an insurance company thats what you do. I think a call to the manager is in order.

What are the conditions for classic car insurance? I have the worst quotes from them in the bast more than the normal, do I need garage, access to another vehicle etc?

You can get a quote via their website and then they always phone you to see if you want to discuss/buy it.
