I swapping over my gearbox (manual m20 b25) and As it's out I'm going to change the rear crank case seal as it's always leaked. My question is what else apart from the seal is involved? Any other bits I need to get to do this or is it simply the seal. Thanks

Sure it's leaking? I've never seen a rear crank seal on an E30 that has failed yet, but I've seen plenty of M20 sump gaskets leaking at the rear.

Hi Brian, the Sump gasket has recently been changed and is dry. I noticed a slow leak coming from the rear ccs when I done Done the manual conversion 3 yrs ago.

I found a leaky rear oil seal on an M20 engine recently, the specialist who had worked on the car previously had fitted it back to frontBrianmoooore wrote:Sure it's leaking?
