I picked up a short block assembly for $50 about a month back, all in fairly good condition.

I'm just wondering what CR ratio the pistons are.
My checks on the zone haven't really helped as the pictures are the same for the US 9:1 and the Euro 10.2:1.
The images in the link below might help a lot.

I'm not completely sure what it came from, but I think it may be a 525e. I'm in Australia so I was sure we got the euro spec stuff.

I found this article, have no idea with french.
Halfway down it shows the type of piston I have in a series of three photos, it looks identical to the second one. Lists it as a 10.2:1

it will be 9:00:1 mate if youre in Oz, measure the depth of the dish it will probably be 3.5mm

Thanks for the fast help. I did measure 3.5mm, I thought we got mostly euro spec items.

What's a set of OEM high CR pistons worth?

not with pistons. on the m20b25 we only got the low comp ones same with eta same US spec. might be a few private import cars just look for the rust buckets

look in the FS section here or UK/european ebay
