Sorry, yet another question, apologies
The heater fan only operates on speed setting 4 with the air con button pressed in
Has anyone else had this issue, is it the same fix as without the air con fitted?
Out if interest, is this a reliable system and worth recommissioning? I'm not a fan of ac on a car where the top comes off, but I do like what is there to work
Thanks in advance[/list]

It doesn't have the reputation of being the best of systems, but if it's there, it's better than nothing.
Does the fan speed switch work normally without the aircon on?

No, the fan is dead on all speeds without the ac on, and only blows with the ac button on and speed 4 selected

The problem I have is that I don't know how the Diavia system is connected into the existing electrics.
The door mirrors share the same power source as the fan, so if they are working, so is the unloader relay. Next thing to check is the relevant fuse, #20, and if that's OK it's time to look at the wires connected to the fan switch, which can be reached by removing, first, the rear centre console, and then the front one.
Pull off the plug, and connect a 12 volt bulb between the green/black wire and a good body earth, with the aircon off, and see if the bulb lights with the ignition on.
