temp sensor

i have read all about the blue temp sensor but mine has the earlier injection and it has FOUR sensors so i dont have a clue which one is the ECU sensor so if anybody can help please let me know
as per photo if i disconnect these wires while engines running
1- no change
2-no change
3-temp guage wire
4-engine dies

Sorry, I don't know my way around the earlier stuff, but I'll bump this back to the top of the list again.
SOMEONE MUST KNOW.
I think ECU sensor on earlier engines is yellow, and temp gauge is brown, but not at all sure.
