Hello,
I recently acquired another E30 only this time it's something a bit new for me being in the USA. A touring.
I am aware that the Touring received slightly different springs and struts/shocks.
I am not aware of what these differences are. Is it simply different spring rates and dampening or are the ID/OD diameters different as well?
I want to purchase HR OE Sport springs for it but am not 100% they will work as they are only offered for the coupe...
Same problem with Bilstein Sports....
Will HR OE Sports and Bilstein Sports work fine in this application? I'm sure it will be a bit different than the same setup on a coupe given the extra weight.
Thanks.
Edit: If I do purchase the above setup, the springs would be from a vendor selling them for coupes but I think the bilstein sports may be available for the convertible which may be more appropriate?

All the same fitting and sizes. Tourings have exactly the same underside as an E30 saloon, as are most of the other parts, except the obvious.
If you can't find touring specific springs, get those for a cabriolet with the same number of engine cylinders instead. These are almost the same.
