Hello guys, having read E30Adams instructions on installing an obc, i went to my bm scrappy and got all the bits necessary to get started, i got home and started stripping! i found that there was already a box located ontop of my ecu which had 1 plug plugged into it.. i unplugged it and plugged both the green connectors to it, also plugged the yellow plug behing the instrument cluster, then i got stuck!!! i put the ignition on and checked that the obc was working but the car didnt start??? i unplugged the 2 green connectors and re-plugged the single one back into the big relay and the car was fine.. just one more query, on the loom i have, uve got the big green connector (back of obc), the big yellow (back of instrument) and the 2 small greens (onto the big relay thingy), then ive got 2 more connectors that seperate from the main loom, (1 green and 1 white) both with 2 wires in them, i presume these are the ones that plug into the control box under the glove box? what are they actually for? coz the obc works just with the big yellow plugged in behind the dash!"

1) ditch the box too which the two green connectors go to; its a useless immobiliser unit; my car ran without keys when i tried to fit it

2) The article does not include a write up for the alarm/immobiliser, so any spare wires left over are purely useless iirc

You could have a wire left over for the outside temperature sensor...

apart from the main loom, he gave me another small loom but none of the connectors on there plug onto the temp sensor which should be on the duct!
