m52 hard to start when hot

Think about bidding an e38 728i its a 1998 with a single vanos .
It has a problem with starting when upto running temp.

From what the owner said it starts first turn cold and will start when hot but if started right way when hot.If its left it stuggles to start.

Would i be right in thinking temp sensor or cps?
Or is there something else that can be more worrying / expensive

Can't see it being anything expensive. Leaking injector is another possibility.

I did think about leaking injector but convinced myself it would cause issues when cold too.
