being from Australia I would think youd know what a hemi is capable of!
Chrysler do do hemis still there the gen III twin spark plug 5.7l but you can get a 6.1 &6.4ltr which is lighter than the original 426 and 440 my mate has one in his 70 challenger.
whats wrong with porting the 885 head out to the max? a hemi chamber will be a lot more bigger in volume than a standard port? what sort of valves do you need to uses since its only 12v head?
is it possible to put a twin cam head on a m20b25
the modern ones arent a true hemi though if you look at the actual combustion chambers and the old ones have nothing in terms of what the pushrod guys have available as aftermarket heads or even a stock LS chamber
they work well for top fuel dragsters but everyone else worked out that they aren't efficient combustion chambers for a 2V per cylinder NA engine.
you want bigger valves that flow efficiently but not a big combustion chamber and a hemi is big combustion chamber with lots of surface area for heat loss and little squish to generate mixture motion. the required piston dome to get high compression starts to impede the flame front so they need more advance than a good chamber which generates negative work .
back to the m20, you want 44/36 valves on a m20 big stroker.
making a hemi has nothing to with the ports and "porting to the max"
